Home Grown Goodness

You are what you eat! Stemming from a background in holistic self-care, the founder of Big Red Acres decided to take things to a new level of sustainability and independence. Because there's nothing more nourishing than homegrown goodness! It has become our passion here at the farm to produce livestock that can flourish in pastured environments and provide nutritious produce for the homestead, all while healing the land. Our livestock are grazed rotationally and/or moved around in poultry tractors to allow the land to be grazed for optimal pasture growth.  This is no easy feat, but we are dedicated.

Our livestock are fed non-gmo grains exclusively.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  To add to that, our poultry are also soy-free, corn-free.  We are working with our grain mill to convert our swine to soy-free/corn-free as well, but supply/demand is a limiting factor at this time.
