Fibromelanastic land race chicken from Sweden, also know as the "Swedish Black Hen."  They are a petite breed that lay a cream colored egg.  Active foragers, easy going personalities, extremely cold hard, averaging 250 eggs per year - these birds were a must for our sustainable homestead program.  We look forward to developing some fun fibro projects in the future, but until then, these birds are perfect just exactly the way they are!
