Heritage Production and Dual-Purpose Breeds:

This breed was developed by Martin Silverudd in Europe to be a hardy, foraging homestead production layer of light green eggs (often with speckles). Our flock has all tested homozygous for the blue egg gene, which is an essential trait to finishing Mr. Silverudd's project.
Bred to the SOP and selected for dual purpose qualities while maintaining decent egg color. Â These birds are a joy to work with and really make an egg basket pop with those lovely chocolate eggs!
